Busy, Busy!

Wow! It has been 3 weeks since my last posting (I know I have been slacking). The summer has kicked into high gear and it appears to only be going faster from here. Recently, KB and I have been looking at houses, and what an exciting and equally taunting task it has been. We are very young, 20 and nearly 19 in age. However, we see value in buying a house that has potential in which we could rent out room(s) to other students where the mortgage would practically be paid by someone else. In theory we believe that this would work, but we continue to crunch numbers and analyze every bit of information we can. We both would like to remain part time with hourly wages at $8.75 and $13.95 and we may be able to make it happen, but only time will tell and if we can find a house within our budget of 60k or less. Her parents are being generous and are showing intent of co-signing, and I know that this would help but I wouldn’t want to rely on it. All in all, it is a daunting step, but if anyone can do it, I know we can.

On a side note, vacation is less than two weeks away! It will be nice to turn off all technology for a week and reflect on the present moment. I’ll keep everyone updated with a post about this wonderful area in the country that we will be visiting.
