Update 7-17-2017

Hi Everyone,

Its KB; GD and I have been very busy over the past year. From getting married, buying a house, graduating school, and now our biggest project yet; completely remodeling my grandmother’s house. We’re very excited about our new goal and hope to be able to record this new and exciting journey on our blog. I plan to discuss our budgets, timelines, and other important aspects of the remodeling process. We would be glad to answer any questions or discuss any suggestions. The house was built in the 1950s and for the most part remained in the 50s until recently. There was central a/c installed and some cosmetic updates throughout but to get the house we want, we decided a gut job would be the best decision. With the rise of the housing market we were able to sell our first home for a profit after only a year of owning it, which will help us greatly in the renovation of the new home. I hope to post at least once every two weeks and my next post should contain photos of the demolition process so far (which is almost complete.) With the new house and the decrease in mortgage we have developed our plan to retire by the time GD is 35 (I will be 33.)
