Phew! What a busy week. This past week has been a transitional week from Spring courses to Summer courses, and it sure has been a busy one! From working more hours, to returning book rentals and even making a trip to the Beach, there has been no rest for the weary. But the busier I get the more empowered I feel, and ultimately the happier I believe that I am (just my personality). Don’t get me wrong, I love my downtime which can consist of Netflix binging and having lazy pajama days, however, deep down I am a young man of structure and scheduling. I love having events and plans, that are well.. planned! It allows me to focus my intention on the task at hand and excel, something that I find difficult when life is at random. I just tend to not being able to settle my thoughts enough when I don’t have a schedule (it appears that I need to meditate more, huh?). With all of this said, my better half, KB is more inclined to being laid back and going with the flow. We more often than not, even each other out. My moral of this post is that with life there needs to be a balance. Not only did I have obligations to fulfill such as work and taking care of administrative duties for school, but one evening on a whim, we (KB and I) decided to go to the beach the next morning. Something that I normally don’t plan to do on such short notice. We had a blast and truly enjoyed the relaxation. These are the moments in life where I take a step back analyze what is going on, and remind myself that life is too short to be living in a structured state all the time, sometimes we just need to let go and live in the moment.
